100 in 100 Campaign Update

100 volunteers in 100 days: 50 host families, 30 family friends, and 20 family coaches!

Totals as of today:
Host families: 24 (+5 since last update on 7/5!)
Family Friends: 11 (+1 since last update on 7/5!)
Family Coaches: 4
These totals include volunteers ranging from just starting the approval process to newly approved!

We have 12 days until the end of the campaign! If you have been considering volunteering, now is the time to contact us!

Are you one of those that have volunteered and are going through the approval process? Feel free to contact us for help through the approval process! We are beginning to receive intake calls and prayerfully we want to have enough volunteers to be able to connect each one to an available volunteer. We do not want to have to turn anyone, seeking help, down!

We also need more volunteers willing to serve! Would you like to volunteer? Call Tina at 229-2954 in Central and Southern Maine; Mike at 949-7448 in Great Bangor area; Robin at 263-5530 in Downeast area, and really anywhere in Maine! We will assist you!

Welcome to the new Safe Families for Children Maine blog!

We have decided this will be a great way to communicate with volunteers across the state of Maine, including a great way to share success stories, prayer requests, and upcoming events.

Speaking of events, our first upcoming event is our Monthly Volunteer Webinar tonight. This monthly volunteer training is held the second Tuesday of each month at 8pm. We hope that you will be able to join us live in order to ask questions, but if you are unable to attend these webinars live we record them so you can view them at a later time. We recognize the extraordinary and irreplaceable value of each person and family who volunteers as part of the SFFC Movement!

Please join us for tonight's webinar "The Use of Imagination as an SFFC Tool for Healing and Christian Growth" presented by Dr. Monte Pries, SFFC Family Coach Supervisor, Olive Crest, CA.
You can register here.

We also have an upcoming Live Training Day on Saturday, July 27th at East Auburn Baptist Church at 9am. This training will cover the required training for Volunteer Host Families, Volunteer Family Coaches, and Volunteer Family Friends. Auburn Police Department has agreed to be available at various times throughout the training in order to perform fingerprinting for any Host Families or Family Coaches who would like to complete that step the same day! You can register for this event here.
